Personal Information Collection Statement (PICS)

Amber Medical Group Limited (“Amber”, “Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of the Laws of Hong Kong (“the Ordinance”).

We have created this Statement to demonstrate our commitment to protecting your privacy and to explain our practices in collecting, using, storing, transferring and safeguarding personal data.

1. Personal Data which may be Collected

In providing our medical and related services, it is necessary for you to supply us with personal data including, but not limited to, your name, contact information, identification number, date of birth, gender, health condition, medical history, and other information relevant to the services requested.
 

The provision of personal data is voluntary, but failure to provide the required information may result in our inability to process your request or deliver the required services.

2. Use of Your Information

We may use your personal data for one or more of the following purposes:

  • Providing, processing, arranging, and coordinating medical and healthcare services, including ambulance transport, medical escort, international repatriation, and event medical support;

  • Communicating with you, including responding to your service requests, follow-up arrangements, and enquiries;

  • Preparing documentation, medical records, and reports required for service delivery, insurance claims, or regulatory compliance;

  • Conducting internal statistics, service reviews, audits, and quality management analysis to improve our services;

  • Investigating and handling complaints or service incidents;

  • Meeting applicable legal, regulatory or administrative requirements in Hong Kong or other jurisdictions;

  • For direct marketing purposes (subject to your consent), as described in Section 4 below.​

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We value all personal data received and take reasonable measures to ensure its confidentiality.
 

Except with your prior consent or as required by law, we will not transfer or disclose your personal data to any third party, except as necessary to achieve the purposes stated above, including:

  • Medical personnel, paramedics, and service teams directly involved in providing your medical services;

  • Business partners, service providers, and contractors assisting in logistics, transportation, IT support, or data processing;

  • Insurance companies, agents, or claims assessors handling insurance-related matters;

  • Legal, regulatory, or government authorities as required by applicable law;

  • Any person under a duty of confidentiality to Amber, including medical professionals and consultants.
     

We will not sell, rent, or disclose your personal data to third parties for direct marketing without your consent.

4. Use of Personal Data in Direct Marketing

In connection with direct marketing, Amber intends to use your name, contact details, services and products portfolio information, financial background, and demographic data held by the us from time to time for direct marketing purposes. We may promote the following classes of services and products offered by Amber, other members of the Group, and/or our Business Partners (providers of the products and services described below):

  • Medical escort and related support services;

  • Health-check, medical, and wellness services and products;​

  • Insurance services and products related to healthcare and wellness;​

  • Reward, loyalty, or privileges programmes and related services and products.

We may only use Your Personal Data in direct marketing as mentioned above if you consent or do not object in writing or by digital signoff.

If you do not wish Amber to use Your Personal Data in direct marketing, you may inform the Data Protection Officer of the Company in writing to the address below. We will withdraw you from future direct marketing activities.

In addition to marketing the medical services and products directly, the Company intends to provide Your Personal Data to any members of the Group and/or Our Business Partners for their use in direct marketing the classes of services and products described in section 4 above (including, in the case of Our Business Partners, for money or other commercial benefit).

5. Data Access and Correction

Under the Ordinance, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data held by us;

  • Request correction of any inaccurate data; and

  • Request information regarding our privacy policy and the types of data held.

6. Retention of Personal Data

All personal data collected will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law.
 

After the retention period, personal data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Acknowledgement

By signing or submitting any service request form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Personal Information Collection Statement.
